The Ashford Arms offers bar meals and a restaurant close to Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District.

Eating out at the Ashford Arms is a treat - we have a varied menu using local, fresh produce.

Chef Robert Muxlow (bottom right) gained a great reputation for his culinary creations at Merlin's, in Matlock, and is looking forward to maintaining a warm country pub atmosphere while creating quality, fresh food.

Since his award-winning Sunday lunch at the Tavern in Tansley in 2002, Robert has never looked back. He is well known for catering to everyone's palate - from a homemade, tasty pie to a mouthwatering 'a la carte' dish.

We offer theme nights throughout the week (see the panel opposite), including steak nights featuring Robert's famous 'sizzling sauces'.
